Marianne Dance Academy is a 'haven for little girls' and an a blessing for their parents.
Ever since Marianne Weidemann started the dance academy in 1980, the studio has been playing a key role in the physical and mental development of children and young adults – some of whom have become successful ballet dancers and teachers in South Africa. Others have simply used ballet as a tool to grow into their best selves with confidence, pose, and self discipline.
MISSION
At Marianne Dance Academy, we not only understand a child’s natural desire to move and express, we encourage and nurture it daily. By teaching the Royal Academy of Dance’s syllabus (a teaching method developed for, and with the knowledge of, children’s developmental stages) Marianne’s main goal is to guide children into becoming balanced and confident adults through dancing, regardless of natural talent, physical ability, or potential career choice.
